calling the dragons

After leaving Amy in the room to relax and gain the needed rest she needed, Daemera decides to go and find her friends. Father was busy again with royal business while she had to tend to a newcomer. She was new herself and didn't know what to do or how to act. She felt strange at the bath as the water called to her. She shook her head and pulled her cloak closer around her. She started for the main doors to the outside of the castle and its walls, but something pulled her outside to the large balconies. She didn't know why, but she had to follow. She opens the doors to the balcony and steps out into the night air. The cool of the air feels good against her skin as she looks to the stars of the night. She listens for her friends, she lets out a loud screech calling them in hopes that they would hear her.

Returning from his worries else were in the kingdom he moves out onto the balconies to gets some nice clean air and to clear his mind about the new comers, he would have to keep an eye on them and the rest of the kingdom at the same time.

She heard the screeches of her friends nearby and saw them take flight into the sky, though her heart ached as she watched them fly away into the sunset. She licks her lips as she feels thirsty. She turned and saw her "father". It had been a long time since she had a father. Since they were brutally murdered, along with her sister, Daemera has been alone and in her wanderings found herself enslaved by a water creature. After being rescued, she was brought here to this kingdom. Here she was shown a room that was to be hers and it was far beyond whatever she had dreamed. She smiled and ran up to her father, "Father! I'm so glad you are back!" She backed off from him, letting him breathe once more as she hears the playful dragons in the distance.

"My dear girl how was your day" he says smiling at her and holds his arms open "do not worry you my be yourself I will not be angry...you are my daughter after all" he says then looks up at the sunset and wonders where Amy got to. He did not want her to feel alone and he couldn't help but feel the old feeling he once had. He drops his arms to his side and stands straight up and looks off into nothing and a small satisfied smile crosses his lips "the good ol'days" he says to himself.

"My day was good father, though long. Lady Amy is in her room, drawing up a bath to relax." As he drops his arms, she looks at him with curiosity, wondering what his thoughts were and the look in his eyes were distant. She hears under his breath something about the good ol' days, whatever that meant.
She looks off into the distance as well, watching the sun set and glad that she had something to keep her warm as the night chill began to enter. She closed her eyes and flashes of her past come flooding back and she sits on the bench outside, trying to keep those horrible days away. She wondered if she would ever have "good ol days".

Amy walked out of her room after an hour of brushing her hair and making sure she looked presentable for her friend. She looked for him and the young woman she met earlier. She finally spots them then hides as she listens for a moment or two. Her eyes widen as she heard her name mentioned at least a few times then smiles. So he still worried about me and how I am doing here in his kingdom she thought to herself. She did not want to barge in on their conversation so she just stays where she hid from them both.

As she continues to talk to her father, she looks out over into the distance, wishing Nightfury was not sleeping. She could hear the dragons snoring the distance and chuckles. She senses that the lady was ready and touches her father's arm before leaving for the room again. She leaves the balcony and walks past Amy to go to the room. When she opens the door, she finds it empty and one of the dresses out of the wardrobe. She smiles and walks down the hall looking for her and finds her hiding behind one of the pillars of alabaster. "Lady Amy, why are you hiding? You don't have to here, you are safe. Father will take care of you while you stay."

He smiles down a her feeling her touch his arm then looks out over the city a smile on his face. He calls out to Dea as she walks away "You may go to them if you wish dear I see how you look when they are around, go and be happy" he says and leans against the railing. He watches for some time knowing full well that Amy was watching "You may come out Amy you are not going to interfear with anything, and I know you have tons of questions to ask"

Amy turns to Dae as she watches the girl walk right by her before she giggled. "I was hiding because I was trying not to ruin the moment between the two of you" she replies to the girl before she walks out of the shadows since he knew the whole time she was there. "Using your skills again?" she asks Strife as she led Dae back to him. Amy takes in a breath thinking of which questions to ask him, just then the nerves hit her really hard. "I know you have a question or two for me as well" she lowers her eyes afraid to look him in the eyes. She rubs her hand up and down her other arm as she fights back her nerves and her feelings.

He smiles seeing her so nervous and walks towards her and softly placing a hand on her cheek he lifts her eyes to meet his "you need not worry about anything. Just ask what you want and you might like some of the answers you get"

Amy feels him lift her head so she see him "did I do something to hurt you Strife?" She had to know that one because she still feels bad when he found out about the crystal in her forehead. Amy looks deep into his eyes as she thinks of more questions but how can she ask him those questions that could hurt them both.

A small smile crosses his lip as he looks at her trying to what seem to peer into his soul "just a little. I took the crystal form you to save you only to find out you took another.....it means I risked my life for nothing" he says the shakes his head "but what's done is done and I can't change that" he says then pulls her into a hug squeezing her tight.

"You did save my life and this is one found me not the other way around... I tried to get rid of it trust me" her voice is very soft like she didn't want to believe she just said that to him. Amy goes stiff when he pulls her into the hug then wraps her arms around him. "What do you want me to do to make it up to you?" she did hurt him by the news of having another crystal she did try to get rid of it, Amy did what she could to protect any living creatures around when she could not get rid of it.

"You dont have to do anything Amy just stay out of trouble" he says and looks down at her and in that moment everything he ever felt for her acted and it staggered him a bit and he let's her go and leans on the railing again over lolling the city.

"Are you Strife I felt like did something wrong and I want to make it up to you" she watches him pull away from her like before. "Does this have something to do with that dragon girl you buried?" Amy knew this might hit the mark with them but what could she do to make him happy.

"No Amy this has nothing to do with Che......" he says and trails off once he says her name and looks over the city in silence. He loves her yes but she was gone and now a part of him. He turns and looks at Amy a smile on his face and walks over to her and takes her hand then kneels "I know we haven't been around each other for some time and we have grown a part......but you are still in my heart Amy"

"Am I?" she looks down at him with her hand in his before she turns her head away. "I want to do something for you yet I don't know if you want that from me...." her heart started to beat faster as she looks back at him.

"And what is it that you want to do that has your heart beating so fast Amy" he says and runs his fingers back and forth on her knuckles

"I need a job if I am to stay here Strife and I don't want to lose you again not since I found you again" she tries to calm her heartbeat down but with him rubbing her knuckles like that brings a blush to her face. Amy starts to shiver some as she smiles at him knowing he would help her.

"A job you say......well as it turns out I do have a job that needs filling....but it's a big job. Do you think you can handle it Amy." he say looking at her with a serious face.

"What is the job? and what do you think I can handle it?" she smirks as she crosses her arms. Amy of course could handle anything he could dish out at her. Why would she back down when she wants to prove to him and herself she could be near him withouth her heart breaking again.

"Because this is a job unlike all others, one where you will have to use every skill you have and then some. Are you sure you are up for a job this big Amy. This is the last time I will ask before I decide" he says his face still as serious as he has ever been.

"You saw what I could do Strife and I will do anything so what is this job?" she crosses her arms then raises her brow since she never seen him this serious about anything. Amy turns her head away to hide a blush then takes a breath before turning back to him.

"The job Amy" he says and stands up "If you choose to take it" he then smiles "Is to be my wife"

Amy's jaw drops open as her eyes widen "be your wife?" She blinks before she sways on her feet. Amy smiles while she thought it over for a moment before she hugs him "of course I will!"
