Finding the Dragons

She saw the look in his eyes that there was something on his mind. Her heart felt heavy and yet when she saw the woman hiding there, her heart lifted. He started out as her trainer, then became her father. She knew there would be other days. She wondered about the dragons, if they ever felt the same. She wandered over to the dragons and hid within the shadows. She saw them playing, calling out to each other. Yet when she stepped out, they did not see her. She sits on the boulder nearby and quietly watches them play. She leans back on the boulder, closing her eyes and listening to the sound of the dragons before falling asleep on the boulder. Soon dreams would enter her mind, showing her what was to come and what was to end.
